Man builds great ships
But few will venture out.
They stay near the shore
Of depths they are in doubt.
A great thrill they would feel
To fall below the waves
And then to rise to the skies
As freed from watery graves.
There is reason for caution.
Great ships must be made stout.
Ships are safe in the ocean
If you keep the ocean out.
I am thankful for Jesus Christ.
Though storms threaten our lives.
Those cleansed of their sins
In any weather thrives.
