The beggar came before the King
His debt was due that day.
"Have mercy Lord" the beggar cried,
For I have nought to pay."
The King gave way to his strong plea.
"I'll give you of my own.
Just call in prayer. God has it is there.
Great riches He'll make known."
The beggar was freed to go his way.
He sought a place to pray.
"And give to us our daily bread,"
In secret he did say.
Out from heaven's treasure house
Blessings began to pour.
The beggar bowed his humble head.
With thanksgiving his joy did soar,
"Thank you God for your great King
Who in mercy set me free.
By faith I live from your supply,
Great love you have for me."
Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:32-33 NKJV
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and his truth endure to all generations.
