When we look at others
We can only see a speck.
When we look at ourselves
We observe a total wreck.
Yes, this task is hopeless
For us to fix this mess.
We must seek the Savior
And all our sins confess.
Only he can cleanse the soul.
Only he can make us right.
Let God’s Spirit have control
He‘ll give us perfect sight.
We are not worthy to receive
The least of God’s favor.
But God will give all to us
If our trust does not waiver.
Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Matthew 7:3-5 NKJV
Abraham “did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”
Romans 4:20-21 NKJV
