The spiritually mature
Speak the truth in love.
They are not provoked
But are like the Lord above.
In the spiritually mature
Control is never lacking.
When their flesh begins to rise,
The Spirit sends it packing.
The spiritually mature
On themselves, they do not brag.
They have a humble, quiet spirit.
Their tongue does not wag.
The spiritual mature
Don’t lift themselves over others.
They are humble and obedient
Toward all their Christian brothers.
The spiritually mature
Walk by faith, not by sight.
To live in peace and righteousness,
Is their great delight.
The spiritually mature
Bear the fruit of love.
They fulfill the spiritual law
And live like saints above.
The spiritually mature
Keeps the right side up.
All they have comes from God
He makes full their cup.
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.”
