Getting Prepared

The trees are shedding.

Bugs hide away.

The birds are flocking.

Short is the day.

Weeds are turning

From gold to brown.

The walnuts drop

Upon the ground.

The grass is thin.

The frost will appear.

The autumn has come.

Winter is near.
