We are citizens of heaven.
We have no voting there.
We have a loving Father
Who in Jesus Christ we share.
There are no political parties
No agendas left or right.
Our Father has no favorites.
We are equal in his sight.
There are no seats of power
That people seek to gain.
But there is full submission
To God through Jesus’ name.
No courts are in session
For righteousness abounds.
We live in one big city.
It’s filled with joyful sounds.
We should not fail to mention
We have no rent or lease.
The children of the Father
Live in perfect peace.
Our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
