I’m too holy to be inflated.
I’m too lowly to be meek.
I’m too humble to be humiliated.
I am not what men do seek.
I have come as a servant
As a root from the dry ground.
Of men, I receive no honor.
On me, man’s sins were found.
I am God’s chosen vessel.
With me, he’s satisfied.
No sacrifice for sin remains.
By me, death has died.
“I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised by the people.”
Psalms 22:6 NKJV
God “has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”
I Corinthians 1:27-31 NKJV
God “has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”
II Timothy 1:9-10 NKJV
